Prolly some euro guild. dR seems to fake disconnects vs rawr in order to test the offensive power of their builds. Maybe that's just me ;p

About time my warrior got some recognition for its lovely armor combo.

as for the monthly;

same shit as always:

Random euro teams playing the same build ( bsurge or sin spike ) for the last month will get somewhere top.

As for the Americans:
OG might do gd, HGH will gimmick like every month, dR will error like nearly every month.. This meta suits rawr and they will prolly get somewhere top playing same build they always play.

Mine:

1. dR, they will always be #1 despite connection issues, mainly because Tommy has the sexiest PvE mesmer I have ever seen.
2. OG, good players all around, although I put them here because I want to see the Danimoth vs. Doji flamewars from QQ to meet up in the monthly, maybe we'll see quickshot again?
3. sup, Strong team all around, cosistency is nice, but I don't see them having the foresight or ability to out-build other guilds just for the tourney
4. StS, probrably the longest active top GvG guild that hasn't broken up or reformed, great mix of players for frontline/backline, will the midline be up to scratch this time?
5. HGH, good players, solid tactics, they might go higher if they can elevate their game.
6. rawr, great team chemistry and I have always loved their build and the adaptions they have made when needed (Especially Torsens E/D shatterstone snare on frozen vs. dR)
7. JaGr, solid players all around, plus their name is that of my favourite hockey player, so I gotta slot them in
8. ZFQ, I don't see them pushing the top 4, but they could go higher than this, mainly because Smiters is very brave!

My predictions:

1. [Euro] Because I generally put my own guild on #1 and because I actually think we have a pretty good shot this time.

2. [uF] Haven't seen them play much recently but they're one of the better guilds atm, in terms of offensive coordination

3. [sup] People don't seem to take advantage of the fact that they always run a HB/SoD backline, good offensive coordination as well.

4. [HGH] I wouldn't be surprised if Call managed to spike their way to top 4 again, the map rotation is certainly in their favor this time and they seem to be better at the a/d spike than other guilds i've seen play it.

5. [dR] Between disconnects and buildwars gone wrong I don't think dR will make it to the top 4, also losing custo makes them weaker than before.

6. [Rawr] with the additions of Asp From Rawr and Jatt From Rawr to their roster they've definitely improved, however they still seem to be locked in their one build to rule them all (although I've heard through the grapevine that they experimented with a certain E/A spike?). The maps certainly suit them this time but I doubt it'll be enough for top 4.

7. [StS] They've had some roster changes recently and seemed to have lost some confidence (as well as one of their best players) might see some build wars here as they've been playing some different builds on their smurf, but one way or another they will spike your warriors.

8. [OG] Formidable offense, but I fear their backline might hold them back, also make some odd build decisions from time to time.

Outsiders for top 8:
[apr] Hasn't been confirmed yet wether they will play at all, if so they might be able to spike their way into the top 8, though they haven't been playing much the last 2 weeks or so.

[NRF] Don't expect too much from them, but last month they surprised me by dervspiking themselves to silver, maybe sinspike this time around? Or maybe they'll have to beg Izzy for a bronze trim again like the month before..

Some random A/D spiking euros (though I think most of them are just pugs of bad players trying to farm champ points)

Maybe with a lot of luck and the power of jap lag on their side the holy trinity of jap guilds ([SpNv], [Me] and [HAnD]) can make their way into the top 8, but I wouldn't put my money (or in this case, reward points) on it.

Fanboy much? Tommy plays monk btw.

Maybe dR will turn the tables on Dan by running a backbreaker warrior.

I think they have like 3 of the people that were in the original StS atm..

Mediocre players, good builds(=gimmicks) is how I'd describe them.

Their build is one of the most boring builds to observe and they rarely make any changes to it at all.. (anyone remember the rawr vs vZ match in september?)

Quote:

Are you serious? I'm not even sure if they're playing at all, but you are awhere that they've never even made top 16 before right? I think they got top 32 2-3 times in RIP and that's the best they've done.

I'd be very surprised if they'd make top 16, let alone top 8.

As for aS no playing, that's not gonna affect my predictions lol.

aight, heres what's gonna happen this monthly.

number one. best
number two. best
number three. best

the rest dont matter. euros are bad at splitting and wont have the balls to do their strat against byob they normally do in ladder. So byob > them.

Whoever is best at countering a/d spike will win, imo. A good counter to a/d spike is a/d spike.

Furthermore, I think rawr might be brave enough to infuse and conjure frost their way to victory. I still say Euro for gold. E/A > A/D.

1. [Hapy] amirite

But seriously I think the monthly is going to be dominated by good guilds playing balanced and spikes.

1. dR. Seen dR play more builds than any other guild and they have a good lineup of players. Also known for being good at splitting so final on frozen is nice.
2. uF. Best euroguild atm. Diverse builds and good offense. Almost like european counterpart of dR.
3. Rawr. Their rank depends on their lineup for monthly. With the best lineup their spike is nasty and they might even be able to do stuff while polly is splitting in maps that you are forced to split defensively.
4. OG. Good lineup and good pressure play but they aren't good enough at the buildwars required for finals.

Seppo hovi action team somwhere in top8 and rest is pretty random. (HGH, StS, Euro etc.)

so, due to wartower rumours, [euro] isn't actually able to play. one of the 6 accounts was just banned for 3 days and won't expire in time, and they don't have any others that have the 2 week limit.

someone confirm?:P mitch?

if so, time to change predictions i suppose!

I can confirm that euro has plenty of spare accounts due to our way of prepping for up to 3 people rq'ing the guild as has happened previously (Cry, cE) etc.
